subject: Car Donation - A Different Christmas Gift Giving Experience [print this page] Car donation can be one of the more better way to share your blessings this coming holiday season. Christmas time is here again and what better way of giving back for all the blessing that you received this year. I encourage everyone to find a way to donate or support Non Government Organizations or NGO -- and maybe even begin a family tradition of your own to help others in need. Whether you volunteer at a local sports organization that supports handicapped children, visit the elderly at a nursing home or reach out to a neighbor or friend who comes from a military family, there are plenty of ways to get involved in your community.
There are lot of charity institutions that you can join to give donations too specially during this Holiday Season. Some of this public charities include Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation, American Cancer Society, Inc., and the World Wildlife Fund. Federal tax law provides tax benefits to non- profit organizations that are recognized as exempt from federal income tax so this can also benefit you in some ways.
You can plan to donate an old car that you no longer need or a spare old motorbike to an online non-profit organization that promote youth education as well as women's right advocacies. It would be nice to find an organization that supports arts and music activities for children. I know that there are a lot of such organizations that exist even online, but I don't know enough about them yet.
Earlier in the year, I made a donation to two orphanages that I love but it seems that it wasn't enough. I wanted to do more. And since I don't have such a big cash reserves to contribute, I opt to give my old second-hand car instead. This Christmas, it will be more of a car donation giving for me, instead of the usual tradition of gift giving.
You too can do the same. If you have an old spare car or junk car in your garage, you can opt to donate that to a charity that can use it to help needy families this Christmas. You can call them up, set a schedule for your car to be picked up. Most charities can pick up the car for free. Once the car is picked up, you can be eligible for a tax deduction benefit at the end of the year too! Hows that for a change?
