The top-class tennis players World No.1 Caroline Wozniacki and World No.3 Victoria Azarenka are set to play in Rogers up in Montreal next year.

On Tuesday, Danish star player and Belarus star player announced that they are playing in Rogers Cup 2012 at the Aug. 4-13 event at Uniprix Stadium.

In her last appearance at Montreal, Wozniacki outlasted Russian player Vera Zvonareva in the final. At the Rogers Cup last summer in Toronto, she kicked off in the second round.

Last week, France player Marion Bartoli and Vera Zvonareva announced that they will play in the 2012 tournament.

Caroline achieved the top spot in the WTA rankings with out a grand slam win. She has won six WTA singles titles in 2011 and holds two WTA titles in doubles. She achieved her career high rank World No.1 in October 2010. She was runner-up at the 2009 US Open and the 2010 WTA Tour Championships in Doha to Kim Clijsters. In Australian Open 2011, she lost against Li Na in the semifinals with a score line 63, 57, 36 and lost her No.1 rank to Kim Clijsters. She entered the French Open 2011 as a top seed but stunned by 28th seed Daniela Hantuchov, 16, 36 in the third round. In the semifinals of US Open, she lost to Serena Williams, 26, 46. According to Forbes in 2011 she was the second highest earning female athlete in the world. According to the June 2011 edition of SportsPro Wozniacki is the world's ninth most marketable athlete. She is currently dating golfer Rory McIlroy.

Victoria Azarenka has won two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles: at the 2007 US Open with Max Mirnyi and at the 2008 French Open with Bob Bryan. She has won seven singles titles, including the Sony Ericsson Open in 2009 and 2011. She reached the semifinal at the 2011 Wimbledon Championships. She first achieved her career high rank world no. 3 on 12 September 2011 and became the highest-ranked Belarusian player ever, surpassing Natasha Zvereva by two spots. She was the seeded eighth at the 2011 Australian Open and lost to the ninth seed and eventual finalist, Li Na, 3-6, 3-6, in the fourth round. In the women's doubles event, Azarenka partnered with Maria Kirilenko but the pair lost to Gisela Dulko and Flavia Pennetta in the final. At the 2011 BNP Paribas Open, where she competed as the eighth seed. She retired in the quarterfinals against world no. 1 Caroline Wozniacki, whilst trailing 0-3, due to a left leg injury. Azarenka then competed at the 2011 Sony Ericsson Open as the eighth seed. She reached her second final at the event, where she defeated sixteenth seed Maria Sharapova, 61, 64 to win the title. Azarenka was the fourth seed at the 2011 French Open. She beat Andrea Hlavkov in the first round, Pauline Parmentier in the second round, 30th seed Roberta Vinci in the third round, and Ekaterina Makarova in the fourth round to reach her fourth career Grand Slam quarterfinal. She lost to Li Na in the quarterfinals.
