subject: Three Weird Ways Being Lazy Will Grow Yur Mlm Business Even Faster [print this page] Its true. Its true.
Im a bit of a slacker.
I like instant mashed potatoes over the genuine thing, I sleep in up to 10a.m. every morning and I hate actually having to pick up the phone.
Now if you are anything at all like me, you devote your life going after the things you delight in and fending off the things you do not.
When I first got going in this industry, I thought I had a significant problem. All of my likes and dislikes seemed to go counter to one another.
I really like network marketing, but I detest picking up the phone.
I love being successful, but I can't stand having to, you know, actually work.
See what I mean?
So whats a guy like me to do? Well, after looking to solve my aversion of the the things I despised and failing completely, I made the decision to take a closer look at my problem. I like to think of my self as a bit of a philosopher, basically Im not afraid to question well, anything really.
Question 1: Can I do network marketing, and never have to make a phone call?
You see a lot of these MLM guru flap-jaws saying no, in order to build your mlm business, you are required to pick up the phone. Hmm I believe Daegan Smith (the king of never calling a single lead) would have a handful of things to say about that. With the right internet marketing model, you should have no problem building your mlm business on absolute auto pilot.
Question 2: Is hard work required to find success?
I can not help but contemplate about all of the hardworking people I know that are really having a hard time right now. In fact those people that work the hardest often have the least. Figure that one out.
Its like the old saying goes, work smarter, not harder.
So what are three ways, we can work smarter, without having to really do any more work? What are 3 ways being lazy can actually grow your MLM business even faster?
Lazy MLM business builder #1: Do less work. end of story.
I used to blow so much time doing all of thisstuffthat I thought was helping me to build my business. I was doing every single thing that the mlm gurus where telling me I needed to do. 80% was a complete waste of time.
Take a good look at exactly what you are doing and just spend time on the things that are delivering you measurable results.
What did this mean for me? What it means is investing less time on facebook and twitter, less time blog commenting and less time creating elaborate link wheels. The majority of my time is now spent on 2 things. Blogging, and article spinning.
The strategies that work for you will likely be different, so just focus on what works and throw out the rest.
Lazy MLM business builder #2: Spend more time slacking off.
Dedication is usually a good thing, but sometimes you just need to blow off some steam, sometimes you just have to unwind. You know what they say about all work and no play right?
I discovered that when I start to get frustrated and Im not actually experiencing the results I want, its time for me to take a break. Time to slack off for a while. Kicking back and ignoring my work seriously helps me to clear my head. I have figured out that I can not force new ideas and I cant simply force out a answer to a problem.
But when I kick back, have a drink, play some PS3, see a movie, go wheeling or whatever well the ideas seem to just flow to me.
For example when Im attempting to create a new blog post. The most stressful part for me is getting started. I know exactly what I want to say, but at times I have a real challenging time knowing where to start. I used to force myself to sit there until I managed to force something half decent onto the page. This occasionally cost me hours and always cost me my sanity.
Now if I get jammed, rather than just sitting there, I will blow it off and go do something I enjoy doing. When I come back I always have a natural viewpoint and generally have no problem getting my opening opinions on the page.
Lazy MLM business builder #3: Learn to relish the distraction.
I used to try to battle the constant distractions. This just left me irritated, annoyed and unable to get anything done. Sometimes you need to learn to just ride the wave. Something distracting you? Fighting for your attention? Just give in.
