Aside from the racing events that are conducted in the US, it also holds exhibition races on different continents at the Suzuka and Motegi Circuits in Japan, Mexico, and Australia.

With a very wide network of media coverage across the United States, NASCAR also gains impressive television ratings in the United States, second to the American favoriteprofessional football. NASCAR races can also be viewed in 150 other countries. NASCAR is listed by Fortune 500 companies as top auto racing and motor sport events throughout the world until the early 2000s. Today, the event has 75 million fans worldwide that buy more than $3 billion cost of licensed products in an annual basis.

As of 2009, NASCAR is headed by its CEO, Brian France. It recent years, the business ventured into wider global expansions; including the joining of the famous car brand, Toyota, into its ranks. Foreign- born NASCAR personalities also add up to the worldwide popularity of the sporting events and helped in accumulating more and more fans.
