If you are trying to write websites about topics you hate, you are going to have no passion for it, and it will show in your work.
On the other hand, when you focus on topics you love, you are able to help others because you know the topic well. People are going to sense your passion for it.
"You can get anything in life you want if you just help enough other people get what they want."
That's the REAL reason you need to find something you love doing. You can't make money if your business doesn't help others.
And to help others, you need to focus on topics that you love and that you are an expert in. It's really that simple. There are many people that claim you can make a lot of money in niches you don't like. You probably can.
However, I guarantee you it will be much harder you will hate going to work everyday and you will contribute little of value to anyone. The whole point of starting a business, at its' core, is to help others.
When I first started, I just built a ton of websites on things I knew nothing about. I ended up with about 25 small sites, and together they were making me about $10 a day. I hated every second of it. Now, I focus on topics I like, and I don't feel like I'm working at all.
