The Range Rover is a large luxury four wheel drive sport vehicles. It was produced by British car maker Land Rover. The first model of this car was introduces in 1970. Now it is in third generation. It was continued until the introduction of a 3.6 liter TDV8 engine.
The third generation model of this series was introduced in 2002. It was seen the model move further up market. It was planed and developed under BMW ownership. The third generation was to chair components and systems with E38 7 series. It was designed to accommodate BMWs M62 V8 engines. The manual transmission was dropped entirely. Only automatic transmissions were kept. Land Rover released the first photographs of the Range Rover Sports on 26th November 2004. It was planned to show a new model to the public.
