subject: Everything Has To Be By Grace, Through Faith [print this page] I don't think we realize how much it affects us in a bad way spiritually when we don't feel well. When you don't feel well, you don't want to pray, you don't want to do things for other people, it's easier to be grouchy. It's important that we take care of the temple of God; it's his house. But you won't do it if you don't get to the point... You're either very wise and you're going to take care of yourself because you know if you don't, you'll get to the point where you do feel bad, and that obviously would be the best way to go but most of us don't do it until we get to the point where we don't have much choice.
Joyce Meyer says whatever it is in your life -- if it's not feeling well, if it's frustration, if it's worry or a bad temper, you're going to have to come to the point where you're just going to have to say -- and I mean a quality decision: "I am not gonna live like this! I am not going to live like this! I am not going to spend my life going around the same dumb mountain over and over and over and over and over. Devil, hear this: I am not going to live like this!" Whoo!: I came to that point many, many, many years ago.
Joyce Meyer says God began to teach me about grace and it really was a lifesaver for me. We look at grace as God's unmerited favor and it is that, but at least for me it doesn't get the whole message across because grace is power. Grace is the power of the Holy Spirit. We talked last night about how we're saved: by grace are you saved through faith. By grace, through faith. By grace, through faith. It's a gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Then we saw in Colossians 2:6 how the bible says that the same way you received Christ, that's the way you have to live. So how are we going to live? Everything has to be by grace, through faith. By grace, through faith. I'm in the will of God doing what I'm doing this morning.
