subject: Ice Entertainment Manchester [print this page] As Jane grew up in a big family full of eccentric personalities, she learned to love the quirky traits her relatives possessed. One day she met Tommy and was delighted to find that he understood her love for the little oddities of human nature. Soon, they knew it was meant to be. He proposed, she said yes and a date was set. The two lovebirds were blissfully unaware that their upcoming wedding was destined to become a legend passed on to future brides-to-be in guarded whispers that always ended in the words, so that's why you should choose professional wedding entertainment for your wedding reception.
Jane had a favorite aunt amongst her strange relatives named Bertha. Aunt Bertha was a very distinguished woman who considered herself to have impeccable taste. So certain was she that her niece was in desperate need of her expertise as she attended to each minor detail, that she completely ignored the protests of other relatives as an incapacity to recognize genius.
Minor disagreements flared into a raging storm where curses flashed like lightning that turned compatible souls into lifetime enemies. Albert Einstein himself could not have calculated the seating chart, not even with the help of alternate dimensions. The special day was rapidly approaching and there were so many conflicts to remedy that as they sat down to work out what entertainment should set the tone of the evening, they both gave up and said let cousin Freddie do it.
It's true that Freddie had more freckles than stars in the sky and, yes, his voice had recently acquired an ultra high pitch, but he was a kid with a dream. A wedding day seemed like a good day to make a dream come true, so Freddie was given the good news. He would be their DJ.
Freddie took this opportunity very seriously and knew it was important to dress right for it. He walked into the reception wearing gold chains, sunglasses, a lopsided cap, and jeans that fell down to his knees. Jane couldn't help but think that a professional would have known to wear a tuxedo.
The time came for their first dance together as husband and wife and each breathed a sigh of relief when their chosen song played. They even got to dance to it for a few seconds, before Freddie decided to really get the party started by scratching the record. The dance came to a sudden stop as everyone covered their ears. As Tommy and Jane stood on the dance floor with their hands on their ears, they spoke longingly of the pianist they had interviewed who not only played beautifully, but also sang classy songs. Surely, a live musician, or even a band would have been a better choice.
Things did not improve as the night went on. Freddie played a continuous stream of his favorite rap music. Aunt Bertha was purple with repressed rage. She marched right on up to the booth and snatched the turntable. Freddie grabbed it, too and they pulled back and forth so much that sparks flew out of the thing and started Bertha's hair on fire. A waiter quickly doused her with a pitcher of water and as she stood soaking wet and shivering with cold, she raised one accusing finger toward the kid and yelled that a wedding singer, a swing band, anything would have been a better choice.
The legend of Freddie's night as DJ is now an immortalized nightmare, carefully passed between former and future brides who cautiously whisper, and that's why you should choose professional wedding entertainment for your wedding reception.
