Pradeep Koneru oversees the India operations of the Trimex Group as CEO and Executive Director of Trimex Sands Pvt Ltd. He has led the development of Trimex groups iron ore, barite and bauxite business in South Asia, and established the heavy mineral sands division. Through Konerus strategy of growth through diversification and forward-and-backward integration. Trimexs India business has consistently grown in scale and profitability. In recognition of his outstanding leadership and initiative in developing an innovative new business model in sands mineral mining, Pradeep was awarded the 2011 Most Promising Entrepreneurship Award from Enterprise Asia.

Trimex Group has set up Mining and Mineral separation facilities based on the existing Srikurmam deposit in Srikakulam, Andhra Pradesh to produce heavy minerals i.e Ilmenite, Rutile, Zircon, Garnet and Sillimanite. Pradeep Koneru Trimex Group Mining and mineral separation facilities based on the Srikurmam deposit constructed through EPC contract by Walchand Nagar Industries Limited, Pune along with the Technology Provider being Downer EDI Mining, Australia.

Srikurmam Mineral Sands Project in Andhra Pradesh starts Commercial production and shipment of heavy minerals.

Pradeep Koneru is expanding their business interest at Kalingapatnam-Bhavanapadu Mineral Deposit, which is adjacent to Srikurmam deposit.Koneru company is under final stage of clearance of grant of mining leases for an area of 17.95 sq kms at Bhavanapadu and 15.39 sq kms at Kalingapatanam.The Engineering Studies for beneficiating 300,000 MTPA of Ilmenite has been awarded to Bateman Engineering, South Africa.The study is scheduled to be completed by Jan 2011 and project execution will commence from June 2011.

Safety & Environments:

Pradeep Koneru Trimex Sands Private Limited has taken adequate measures to maintain an eco friendly environment. After the extraction, the mineral free sand is returned to the mined out areas and put under a green canopy by using scientific social afforestation techniques. A captive nursery has been established to supply saplings of the identified species for the social afforestation.
