subject: The Oil War [print this page] During the past several months you might have heard and read news regarding Libya's unrest and a call for democracy in the country. Western media took great interest in giving round the clock coverage to the events that were happening in Libya. But, did any of you thought why the West has created a strong hold against Libya?... even when they don't fall in true democracy. The world especially the neighboring African countries want to know why the West imposed war on Libya. Let's unleash the hidden truth behind the so called Libya's war against democracy by the western states and shed some light on the other side of Libya which the western media is continuously trying to hide. The leading role and the man behind all this was the honorable Colonel Muamer Qaddafi.
Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Qaddafi born 7 June 1942 commonly known as Muammar Qaddafi or Colonel Qaddafi is the former autocratic ruler of Libya from 1969, when he seized power in a military coup. He variously styled himself as the "Brother Leader, Guide of the Revolution and the King of Kings".
Colonel Qaddafi introduced new horizons of technology in Africa. He was the head of the African Union. He brought TV broadcasting, Radio and telecommunications to the African region and introduced new technologies like Tele-medicine and did enormous effort in spreading education to remote lands of the African continent. The work started back in 1992 which included 45 African states under the banner of RASCOM (Regional African Satellite Communication Organization). The aim of this organization was to setup own satellite system for the African states for advanced telecommunication services. In Africa the services for telecommunications were very expensive and 14 states received a total 500 Million dollars for the use of satellite services. The satellite system cost Africa 400 Million dollars and finally the African people had a satellite of there own and for this project Colonel Qaddafi provided 300 Million dollars, African development bank gave 50 Million and finally west African development bank gave 70 Million dollars. China and Russia also jumped in to help and offered to use there technology. On 26th Dec 2007, Africa finally had there own satellite system. Thus, aid given by Libya brought a new life to the African continent. Gaddaffi beat the west in this manner. As a result Africa got rid of 50 Million dollars loan annually.
US President Barrak Obama seized 30 Billion Dollars of Libya which is the property of Libyan Central Bank. Libya provided this amount for three big projects of African Union. These included African Investment Bank, African Monitoring Fund and African central bank in Abuja which for the first time started publishing African currency and that busted the CFA. With the help of this organization France had an impact on several African states for the past 50 years. The opposition of France towards Libya in this situation is natural. African Monitoring Fund will be a substitute of International Monetary Fund in Africa. IMF had made Africa its slave by merely 25 Million Dollars and all the public sector organizations were being privatized and the private monetary organizations had taken control over them. On 16th and 17th December 2010 the African nations made it clear that only they can have its membership.
In Africa, Qaddafi was considered a genius who battled against the racist rulers of South Africa. If Qaddafi was himself a racist he would have never supported the struggle of ANSA against the west. That was the reason that Nelson Mandela on 23rd October 1997 after his 27 years prison for the first time went to meet Qaddafi in spite of sanctions on Libya by the United Nations and due to the sanctions by the UN no plane landed in Libya for five years. In an answer to former President Clinton that Nelson Mandela did not get a warm welcome in Libya, Mandela said "no country can claim to be the international police, no country can dictate to other country what to do and what not to do. Those people who were friends with our enemies yesterday are advising me today not to meet my brother Qaddafi". That is the reason the members of ANC which also included Nelson Mandela were considered terrorists in the west.
If Qaddafi's Libya becomes more democratic than America, France and UK then you have to import some democracy from Libya .On 19th March 2003 President George Bush on this stance bombarded Libya to promote democracy in the region. On 19th March 2011 when 11 years had passed regarding the incident, President of France bombarded Libya on the same issue to bring democracy to the region. Noble prize winner President Obama had the same stance that with submarines, cruse missiles you can end dictatorship in the region.
Libya was considered the best of states among the African nations because Qaddafi cared for his people. He provided them with free medical facilities and free education. The Libyan people enjoyed most of the necessities of life. During Gaddafi's period, Libya's human development indicators improved significantly. By 2010, Libya had the highest GDP per capita, education Index and human development Index in Africa as well as some of the best health indicators in the continent. The propaganda against Libya to bring democracy in the region by the west is just to capture the oil rich nation and end Qaddafi's rule because he was the main hurdle against west. The western media has portrayed a false image of Libya, while someone who has lived in Libya shares his experience as a state which fulfills all the requirements of its people.
Pro Qaddafi blogs from people who have traveled to Libya indicate what I am talking about and this view is shared by people from all over the world. The aim to demolish Libyan government by equipping the rebels with ammunition is a clear fact that western nations are behind it who have always opposed the policies of Qaddafi. The betterment of Africa by Qaddafi decreased the influence of west especially the European nations in Africa and thus created the so called civil war against Libya.
The hollowness of NATO attacks on Libya can be judged from the fact that similar uprising have up surged in Tunisia, Egypt, Yemen and Syria too but the Western nations have only paid lip to the cause of the people As the puppet regimes in these countries are supported by the West itself.
In case of Syria, countless innocent civilians have lost their lives and there is a strong crackdown on the opposition. The Syrian security forces are involved in severe human rights violations yet NATO and US choose to remain quiet, as they are secretly supporting these dictators. Another reason of attacking Libya is its Oil reserves. Even before the rebels took control of Tripoli and the interim leadership took its place British and US oil companies were engaged in negotiations for favorable terms for explorations.
Now, as Libya has fallen and Qaddafi dead, Western power are frantically trying to install a puppet leader who will only obey them!!!
