subject: The Mazda Takeri Concept [print this page] Mazda will be at the Tokyo Motor Show next week; it is Mazdas home motor show and is the perfect stage to showcase some of its latest models. The most interesting model for me has to be the new Mazda Takeri concept an almost production ready midsized saloon, which showcases all of Mazdas latest design and technology advancements.
Mazda is only a handful of mass car producers not to have invested hybrid model technology, Mazda strongly believes that there is more efficiency to extract from a conventional combustion engine and the materials used to construct a car.
The Mazda TAKERI concept is one of the first models to enlist Mazda's new design language Soul of Motion, this new car brings a new level of strength and allure to mid-size saloon styling. It also has SKYACTIV Technology including Mazda's regenerative braking system. This new energy recovery system will convert kinetic energy to electricity during deceleration, which is then stored in capacitors which will then be used to power the electrical equipment in the car, resulting in reduced load on the engine which will as a result save fuel.
SKYACTIV technology, combined with the new SKYACTIV-D diesel engine, Mazda i-stop, a new lightweight structure, aerodynamic and chassis technologies help the Mazda TAKERI concept to achieve excellent levels of fuel economy, impressive performance and a comfortable ride.
The stunning new Mazda 3 will make you step back on awe over its new stylish appearance. Looking bold and new with a sporty and aggressive edge the new Mazda3 is a real marvel of precision design.
The Mazda offers a quiet yet stimulating drive thats suits everyday needs for driving. Event with the entry level model of the Mazda 3 it is well specified with a host of equipment. It will have the body and soul of a sports car, but will take into account that, sometimes, I want to have room for my friends, my things, or my dog. And it will feature a sunroof that is actually a sunroof not one of those sun-in-one-quarter types!
The New Mazda 3 provides an enjoyable and comfortable drive for both passengers and driver. Under the bonnet the new Mazda3 can house either petrol or diesel engines with the 2.2 litre diesel engines producing superb levels of fuel economy and bags of performance.
Mazda has been quiet over the last couple of years; one can only assume that they have been busy with their heads down designing and building some ground breaking new cars. Only time will tell but the new concept car looks amazing and in my opinion will raise the bar in the executive saloon sector. I cant wait for it to hit Mazda dealers so I can go and have a test drive!
