Conveniently based in the heart of the city, this Grade II listed treasure oozes luxury, style and comfort, and enjoys a brief history that leaves many other Manchester hotels out in the cold. During its one hundred years history, The Midland Hotel has welcomed kings, queens, presidents and rock stars. In addition, the red-bricked Victoriana which Manchester is famous for is wonderfully seized within the architecture of The Midland Hotel. The hotel's characteristic design goes on inside, where you may see opulent decoration, wealthy fabrics and twinkling chandeliers.
Among the best elements, the French restaurant with wonderful food, atmosphere, attentive and hospitable service is one of the best on the globe. We had dinner there and it became a really remarkable time. The service has been first rate without being outrageous and the food has been great. The atmosphere appeared to be special, the only shame, a few of the other guests did not feel the necessity to dress properly....We might undoubtedly get back to the Midland. It is not cheap yet worth it.
W got there early afternoon, checked in and went in to our own room. The bedroom appeared to be large, beautifully furnished, wonderful bed and the bathing room seemed to be everything you may want. My own bedroom was on the 6th floor and seemed to be fortunate to have a corner suite with a gorgeous panoramic view of the city, the room was of a very good size and very clean together with up-to-date decor, with a very contented bed. I really loved the room that much I decided to have a room service breakfast which was served very hot and at the time I called for.
Furthermore, the staff, from receptionist to room tidier, all were extremely welcoming, well intentioned and i got a feeling of being part of a group. The Resident Manager appeared to be ace and very useful if a little fluffy. The staff members were definitily fantastic and always on hand to assist. These people even provided us with cutlery to enjoy our Chinese take away inside our bedroom! They wouldn't have been any nicer or more attentive. Not any query appeared to be too foolish; no information was too insignificant to give. I absolutely recommend a stop at the Midland Hotel Manchester!
