subject: Psychic Detective Story [print this page]

As I sat at my desk meditating about what to do next, the phone rang.

"Hi, aru yoo 'Intutiivv Mageek'?" A man with a heavy foreign accent painfully iterated the business name I used years ago when first starting out. Somehow the Internet never forgets a thing!

"Yes," I said, taken off guard. "How can I help you?"

He was a production assistant calling for a Norwegian film crew visiting Florida. They were filming an episode of a show focused on interviewing American relatives of famous Norwegians. The man they sought to interview was missing.

When the crew arrived it was all very dramatic. The two male hosts of the show were wearing clothing representing American tourists in Florida.

They wore baggy shorts, knee high socks, loud plaid jackets and ball caps on their heads. One of the ball caps had NY (for New York Yankees) embroidered on the front of it.

It was all I could do to keep a straight face, let alone do psychic work for them. They really wanted to find this man, but at the same time, this reality TV show was a satire.

When a psychic is in such a situation it can be difficult to concentrate to do the work. I sat there thinking this as I held a photo of the missing man in my hand. He had "skipped" town, as they put it, after he had agreed a few weeks ago to be interviewed.

Luckily spirit leapt in to support me. As I held the photo it almost jumped out of my hand with energy.

I said, "This man has money and collects cars."The words exiting my lips surprised me.

"How could he have the money to be a car collector?" I nervously thought. This man was pictured in a trailer home in the photo I held, which would suggest poverty, not wealth.

Just as I had this thought, Thomas, one of the hosts, exclaimed, "That is remarkable. He really does collect cars and has lots of money!"

"Whew," I thought. That was a close one.

I went on to say, he had family here and also was an avid boater. All these points were validated with confirmation.

As the filming progressed they asked me where the man had gone. It was a ton of fun going through the predictions, however, I truly wondered if they ever will find him. The levity about me was seriously challenging my ability to concentrate and deliver what they needed.!

We expect to hear from them when the show airs in the future.. Unfortunately, the show will not be aired in the United States..
