subject: How To Unlock Any Samsung Evergreen [print this page]

The Samsung Evergreen was released in November 2010. It's constructed out of 70% recycled plastic, making it one of the more eco-friendly cellphones on the market today. Even the packaging is produced with 80% recycled paper, and the instructions manual comes on a CD. It has a great responsive slide-out 4-row QWERTY keyboard, and costs under 30$ with a 2 year plan from AT&T. It also comes with social networking integration through AT&T's socialnet, allowing you you to see all your friends Facebook, Twitter, and MySpace updates on one screen. The phone can operate on 2G networks (GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900) and 3G networks (HSDPA 850 / 1900).

A number of major features on this smartphone include 256 MB of built-in storage space (plus an external microSD card slot that could support up to 16 Gb of extra storage). Its dimensions are 116 x 56 x 15 millimeters, weighs 128 grams, comes with a 1.92 inch (~208 ppi pixel density) TFT 256K color display, 2 Mp 1600x1200 pixels digital camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1, microUSB v2.0, and Gps navigation.

If you purchased this smartphone and decided to switch carrier, or perhaps you're vacationing and want to use the phone with another simcard, you will have to unlock the phone. If you do not unlock it, an error message will be displayed on the phone the moment you insert a new simcard.

Below are the instructions you must follow to unlock your Samsung Evergreen A667:

1. Remove the sim card from your cell phone

2. Turn on your phone

3. Just after it completes booting up, type in #7465625*638*unlock code#

substitute the term unlock code with the cellphones numerical unlock code. In the event that you dont have an unlock code, take a look at the bottom of this article for instructions on where to get one.

4. A message will pop up to inform you that the network lock has been deactivated. Your phone is now unlocked and you can insert your simcard.

Once your unlock code is typed in and accepted, the phone is unlocked permanently. You may then insert any simcard from any other carrier and your cell phone should immediately pick-up the network. You will also have to update your web and email configurations with the settings of your new carrier.
