subject: Allergy Clinic Is Worth The Visit [print this page] Allergies can put a damper on funAllergies can put a damper on fun. Kids with allergies miss out on many fun activities. Seeing children miss out on fun and friends led to a visit to a Utah allergy clinic. Since making visits to the clinic, the children have been able to control their allergies and lead richer lives.
Life with severe allergies is no ride on haystack - literally. As a parent who finally decided to take my children to see the allergy specialists at a top Utah allergy clinic, I know how tough it can be on a child to sit out, while the fun happens all around them.
It seems each season bring its list of family activities that one or more of my children cannot participate in due to allergies, but for me, Autumn takes the cake. Watching a child sit out of fun activities or depriving other kids of the chance to participate is a constant wrestle, and I have never been happy making the choice one way or the other.
I remember a little bit what it feels like. It's not fun to sit on the side lines, and it doesn't help when your allergies are always keeping you from enjoying fun activities and play that other children get to enjoy. You want to try everything and be like the other kids, but there is the constant risk that an allergy flare up could end dangerously or at least leave you feeling miserable. So, instead of making you sick, your allergies end up isolating you from many of the fun activities other kids get to enjoy and holding you back from being just another kid.
It doesn't seem fair, but then again, little in life is completely fair. Just ask my niece, whose nut allergy has ended with trips to the ER on more than one occasion. However, even though life isn't fair, we don't have to sit back and let allergies control our lives. Rather, we can choose to take control of our allergies and live happier, richer lives.
My trip to a Utah allergy clinic to help my youngest, whose allergies are the worst of the bunch, went so well, I ended up making appointments for everyone in my family who suffers, and I'm glad I did. They may not be able to do everything they want, but they can definitely do more, now that we have control over their allergies.
