subject: Picking The Right Scene For You [print this page]

Clubbing seems to be a standard activity for the single person. Just about everyone has their favorite scene, sometimes it's that expensive, exclusive place on the Strip, sometimes it's a hidden club around the corner, sometimes it's a traveling DJ and mini bar that publishes their location that day. No matter what your flavor, though, clubbing is essentially the same thing: Going out to get a drink or two, dance with your friends or a complete stranger and forget the cares of the week for just a minute.

Part of picking the perfect scene is definitely finding a bar tender that can mix your favorite drink, and maybe recommend something on the nights you're feeling daring. Just don't drink too much , cause there's nothing more embarrassing than having to call a DUI attorney in Salt Lake City. Another key attribute to an ideal night out is definitely the music. If the music doesn't make you want to move your body or sing along, what are you letting loose? Not much.

Perhaps one of the biggest but least expressed requirements, however, is finding a club where the patrons and the workers are attractive. Come on, a single lady (or man) going to a place to be alone or surrounded by ugly people? Not going to happen.

Of course, that also means you want to look your best as well. You think these people are attractive and want to fit in, want to talk to or just dance or drink with them, you've got to look attractive to them too. Picking your favorite blouse or shirt, some slacks that match and are loose enough to move in, but tight enough to look hot, the make up and cologne or perfume are a must, but also must not be over done. Who wants to look like KISS in their mug shot?

But none of this should keep you from your favorite DJ. Honestly, if the atmosphere attracts you, it is likely you already fit the scene anyway, so it's nothing to stress about. The best think you can do is make yourself over so YOU think you're hot, then just head out to the scene! Enjoy the company, have a little fun, meet some new people, then head home. Ooo, wait, driving home drunk... where's that DUI attorney's number again?Salt Lake City is cracking down, so you may want to get a taxi. That is, if you're going home alone. Hopefully not.
