subject: Top 2 Best Low-key Vacation Spots [print this page]

When you are on vacation, you should be able to sleep in, do whatever you want, and have an amazingly refreshing time. Sometimes you want to go some place to escape the typical bright lights, night clubs, and amusement park scenes and go somewhere low-key and relaxing. Below is a list of 3 incredible areas most people would never think to go- but should.

Utah. Some of the most incredible and jaw-dropping wonders that anyone could ever wish to see are located in this over looked state including Bryce Canyon, Goblin Valley, Arches National Park, and The Great Salt Lake.

If you are ever around the Great Salt Lake, you should definitely check out Antelope Island- a literal island in the middle of the lake that plays host to thousands of wild Elk. One of the most amazing attractions of Antelope Island can be seen during the winter months- riding on a horse-drawn sleigh through the snow only yards away from these majestic animals. It's a sight you are not likely to ever forget.

One of the most well-known attractions of the state of Utah is, of course, the snow. People come from all over the country to ski Utah's many mountains and stay in the thousands of ski lodges.

Arizona. The Grand Canyon is a great escape if you're feeling adventurous. The attractions include horseback riding down the enormous canyon, helicopter rides to soak in the grandiose views, and even spending an evening at the Grand Canyon Ranch where you can hear cowboy stories around the campfire under the stars and sleep soundly in either a cabin or tipi.

The city of Tucson, although it is the second largest city in Arizona, is surprisingly laid back and peaceful. You'll feel right at home surrounded by clear skies, gorgeous views, and numerous adventures awaiting right outside your front door, including the gateway to the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historic Trail: a 1.210 mile long trail that commemorates the route Spanish commander Juan Bautista de Anza II followed in 1775 on an expedition from Mexico to found a presidio and mission near the San Francisco Bay. Once you've discovered all that Tucson has to offer, it's likely you will want to find an apartment for rent and stay there forever, basking in the South-west sunshine.

Whether you want to spend your vacation having an outdoor adventure, or relaxing under the stars, these two low-key vacation spots will not disappoint. Some of the best vacations begin where you least expect them.
