subject: Meshing Wireless Internet With Everyday Communication Needs [print this page]

We use the web more than we could have ever imagined, often feeling paralyzed the minute our connection is cut off. There are some people who have even expressed concerns about an overdependence on mobile wimax and similar technologies, yet there are so many very real benefits that can be attributed to our use of the web, that these claims often get shunned. For one, it has allowed people from across the world to easily connect with one another. An important step in collapsing cultural and language divides, while also opening up a number of new business avenues. With regard to socializing, digital networks have also enabled people who may have never been able to interact with one another in previous times to build lasting bonds that will extend through the years. Practicality is another huge advantage that can hardly be ignored.

The latest in modern tools and gadgets is no longer a need of just the super connected tech-savvy community. In our world today, everyone uses the web for virtually everything they do in various aspects of their lives. From our grandparents to our little cousins, theres no way of preventing the ways in which the World Wide Web has altered the basic fabric of society. People now meet their lifelong partners online, build important business networks, buy their groceries and manage their finances all from the convenience of their home computer. With mobile broadband, these activities are making their way outside of the home and into the palm of your hands as well.

Wireless internet is the tool that will bring us greater interconnectivity as we reach out into the future, in large cities and increasingly in small towns as well. Although some social analysts and psychologists have pointed out the need to refrain from too much time spent online, there is no denying the ways in which online activities these days arent just about hobby, but the very means by which we organize and arrange our lifestyles. Even real, physical social gatherings have become entirely dependant on mobile broadband. Anytime a question comes up or a concern about movie times, restaurant locations and more, people resort to their smart phones and fast internet connections in order to find out the answer, make a point, and even establish a sense of trust amongst one another.

As mentioned before, there is still a sect of society that has argued that our brains are actually becoming lazier thanks to fast networks like 4G, as people refrain from actually thinking about the answer to a variety of problems. The argument is that we have become far too reliant on being able to search for the answer. Yet the simplicity and general convenience of this has been hard to deny, and will likely be hard to change. We are a culture that celebrates convenience; one of the remarkable things about modern technology is that once is changes our daily habits and communication needs, its often much harder to change them back.
