subject: An Introduction To Mario Kart 7 For 3ds [print this page]

Probably one of the biggest 3DS releases to date will be Mario Kart 7. The hugely popular Mario Kart racing franchise comes to the Nintendo 3DS with gorgeous 3D support, and is the most visually impressive Mario Kart title to date. New additions to the franchise include a hand gliding attachment which allows your selected kart to glide through the air, and an underwater propeller attachment enabling your kart to drive underwater.

FEATURES:

Personalize Your Vehicle - Select from various available frame-types for ones kart, every frame-type with a different weight and handling properties. Choose from an array of tires, and each individual tire will perform better on specific surfaces - giant tires will be suited for off-road courses along with smaller tire-types for street tracks. Select an attachment for ones kart, including the hand gliding add-on or even propeller add-on.

Add-Ons for Flying and Driving Underwater - A hand gliding add-on allows your vehicle to fly through the air, find secondary paths, as well as pick up coins while flying. A underwater propeller attachment allows your vehicle to drive underwater. Many weapon add-ons can be selected within Mario Kart 7 - brand-new weapons are the Super Leaf and the Fire Flower.

Vintage Mario Kart Gaming - Popular elements from old Mario Kart games return, which includes coins which may be collected for boosting a kart's speed as well as defence. Players may also use the trick strategy and gain boosts by carrying out tricks whilst in mid-air.

Breathtaking Mario Kart Visuals - This game includes probably the greatest visuals to date in a Mario Kart game, plus the graphics display at an incredible 60 fps. The 3D visuals heightens the feeling of falling plus the increased sense of depth assists with calculating distances and seeing items and special effects (for example the 'ink blot' effect).

Classic Mario Characters - Select to compete as your classic persona from previous Mario titles. New characters include Metal Mario, Lakitu, Shy Guy, Honey Queen and Wiggler. Drivers also relate with one another throughout a race, and will look at other competing racers, make faces and even glare at each other during a race.

Steer Via Motion Control - Using the built-in 3DS Gyroscope, an optional first-person game mode makes it possible for gamers to steer by tilting their 3DS left and right.

Tracks Galore - The game has sixteen all-new courses, in addition to sixteen previous Mario Kart game courses that are remastered and now include new sections. Race through a variety of environments, including mountain passes, through city streets and dusty deserts.

Local and Online Multiplayer - As many as eight players may race in multiplayer, both over the Internet, or local via wireless connections. Mario Kart 7 supports both SpotPass and StreetPass, and gamers may now swap recordings of their greatest racing races.

Mario Kart 7 is due for release around 2nd Dec, 2011, with the game to be available only on 3DS. The publisher for the video game is Nintendo, and Nintendo EAD were the developers for the game. This game features multiplayer facilities, for a maximum of 8 players. This video game has been given a PEGI 3 rating, and is therefore suitable for gamers 3 years and older.
