subject: Italy Takes A Slice Of The International Courier Market [print this page]

Italy is one of the most popular European holiday destinations for British tourists and this is because of three main things. One, the countrys proximity to the UK and therefore the ease with which one can travel there. Two, the weather is seasonal as in the UK but the summer months tend to be more predictable in terms of sunshine. Three, the food, drink and culture are truly spectacular and can draw crowds of people from all over the world.

With all this in mind, it is no surprise that people from the UK find friends, family members and colleagues moving to Italy for a taste of the Mediterranean lifestyle. The focus then shifts from why we like to visit Italy to how to keep in touch with all those people who have flocked there to get a more permanent taste of the delicious pizzas, pastas and gelato (ice cream)! While there is of course always the option of visiting them in person (what a great excuse for a holiday!) this is not a satisfactory way of keeping in touch on a daily, weekly or even monthly basis.

Email is by far the easiest and quickest way to communicate daily news and little snippets of information but this form of staying in touch will never be able to convey the sort of emotion that a letter for example would manage. The typed word just doesnt have it within itself to convey very much except its literal meaning and this is why letters continue to be sent, admittedly in dwindling numbers. There is of course the telephone and the newer video messaging and this is absolutely fantastic for parents whose children have moved abroad and who dont get to see them face to face nearly as often as they would like.

But on special occasions that call for something more than a quick chat or a quickly typed email update, there is only one really good way to show that you care and that is by sending a parcel. Everybody loves to receive a parcel and this is particularly true of those who have moved away from family and friends but still want to feel near them on special occasions such as birthdays, weddings, anniversaries and births.

Sending a parcel to Italy for example has, thankfully, never been easier thanks to the online presence of couriers that specialise in European parcel delivery. It is now simply a case of going online and typing in a few basic details in many instances much quicker than typing an email!
