Did you ever wish you were lying on a sandy beach in Brazil on a beauiful sunny day, sipping a Caipirinha Cocktail?

Of course we can't always get what we wish for, but you can make and drink this delicious Brazilizain cocktail in

your very own kitchen.

Caipirinha Cocktail is the National drink of Brazil and loved by everyone, not only in Brazil, but all over Europe.

And now it is becoming very popular in the United States.

It's fun and easy to make, so just gather up all the ingredients and lets get started!

You will need the following: An Old Fashioned glass, a Muddler, which is usually wooded and shaped like a bat, it has a rounded end to smash ingredients, while the, other end is flat, cocktail Shaker, 1 lime, 2 teaspoons of fine sugar, ice, 2 shots Cachaca, a Straw (optional), club Soda (optional).

First, take the lime and cut it into eight wedges. You can roll the lime on the counter a few times if you like, this will help soften it a little and helps get the juice out. Next, take two teaspoons of fine sugar and put into bottom of glass. Crush the sugar and the lime wedges together with your muddler. If you do not have a muddle, try to use something similar, and be careful not to hurt the glass. Fill the glass with ice cubes or you can use crushed ice.

Now you pour two shots of Cachaca or you can use any white rum if you like, over the ice. You can mix with

stirrers, or use your cocktail shaker over your glass to shake. It's totally up to you if you like shaken or stirred.

Next, add a splash of Club Soda if desired. Add a straw or two if you like.

Some people might like to add a strawberry to fit on the edge of the glass for exra color, or a slice of lemon or lime. This makes it more festive!

You now have a delicious and beautiful looking drink to serve to your guests at a party, dinner or just relaxing on a sunny afternoon in your own backyard.

A Caipirinha Cocktail has both a tangy and sweet taste, so it goes with just about any food and is always

a big hit at parties. Your guests will be asking for the recipe, so they can make and enjoy this special drink at their parties. They might just invite you too!
