RIM has let out a rumor that they will release a BlackPad that will be a real competitor to the iPad of Apple. The CEO and the CTO of RIM and Adobe consecutively unveiled the new BlackBerry PlayBook, which is supposed to be one of the finest phones that the company has manufactured. By October 25 2010 the unveiling was already underway and offers were being made all over in order to get as many people as possible to buy them.

The main aim of Rim is not to get the phone to have as many features as possible, but rather to have the phone inch closer and closer towards becoming a desktop. In order to lure more people in, the CEO stated that any application developer who would be approved by the App World would get to own one of these BlackBerry tablet free of charge. The features that are included in the tablet are amazing. It has been handpicked specifically to suit an office situation. These features include the 1080p playback for video. To make this complete, the phone has a 3 megapixel camera at the front side of the phone and an additional 5 megapixel camera at the back of the phone. Wi-Fi is an obvious feature of the phone, thus internet connectivity can be done locally using the latest Wi-Fi technology.

As for the touch screen effect, it is a 7 inch display which has a 3D graphics application. Most of the sensors that are known to the mobile world are also featured in this mobile phone. These include InvenSense, a magnetometer and accelerometer. All these are run through the dual core Texas processor that has a frequency speed of 1GHz. It is also the lightest of the tablets among the leading tablet producing companies like Samsung, Motorola and Apple.

The BlackBerry Malaysia was released on June 25 2011. Some of its praises were courtesy of the amazing features that many people noticed on the phone. The Adobe Flash player is the highlight. This feature is not present in many smart phones and tablets, making many people miss the opportunity of viewing videos in this format. It multitasking capabilities were also appreciated by many. Its communication platforms like email and its calendar have come under scrutiny, as they are BlackBerry dependent applications. Either way, RIM has done well for itself, having unveiled a tablet that is still unmatched.
