subject: Soda...diet Or Regular? No Matter-they Are All Bad For You [print this page]

Why would anyone with any ounce of intelligence, consume something that has the reputation of taking the paint off of a vehicle? Americans have been told this for decades, but they still consider pop, soda, Coke or any one of a number of the wide varieties to be their favorite drink of choice. If anyone looks beyond the borders of the U.S. they will find that the choice is not just an American choice, but it is consumed world wide in huge amounts.

Medical professionals already know that drinking soda has no real value in what it offers the body in the way of nutrition and in fact it will counter act the good deeds that make the body healthier. One unsightly example is the sugar from the soda turns to fat and the result is a contribution to the obesity problems facing this country. Soda is also considered a carbonated beverage and is noted for slowing down the metabolism that can easily stagnate the entire body's functioning systems. This aids in really packing on the pounds.

Many soda drinkers think that the caffeine is helping them stay energized and giving the boost they are looking for, but in reality they are allowing their body to experience dehydration on different levels. This will also confuse the body and it will no longer see the need to alert you that your body tissues and organs are really thirsty and experiencing dehydration.

Sure you may hear all this but you may be thinking I always drink decaffeinated beverages or those with artificial sweeteners and while this very likely seems to be a better for you option, in fact it really isn't. Most doctors and experts agree that there is no better for you soda option and that pop, no matter with or without real sugar or caffeine is still something that isn't very good for you and more often than not drinking too much pop of any kinds will result in not only health ailments but obesity as well.

And studies support this showing that most of those who fall into the morbidly obese category drink excessive amounts of soda and the type of soda they are consuming has little to no effect on anything. And cutting out soda is usually the first place a physician will go when trying to help an individual take off the pounds.

Very few people realize just how much weight they can pack on over a period of time if they choose the wrong beverages to consume. Choosing water instead will have an amazing effect on how the body will respond and look. This will not only cut out thousands of daily calories that the body will have to deal with, but it will also speed up a person's metabolism.
