subject: Look Beyond Christmas And The New Year To Grab A Chance Of A Great Bargain Family Holiday [print this page]

Perhaps the February half-term week has never been considered a suitable time for everyone to get away together but there are several plus points to booking a break in this particular week.

To begin with, the family holiday resorts located in prime spots around the English coastline are just made for a break that the weather can't spoil. With their year-round temperature-controlled indoor Splash Waterworld complexes, they house fun activities for everyone, regardless of their age, and there's never any danger of rain or worse stopping play.

Live shows aimed at all the family are also a big feature of a holiday break at this time of year. The big shows don't just happen at the height of summer these days all year round there's a feast of family entertainment to be enjoyed, and again, everyone, whatever their age, is welcome to join the party.

And when has anyone ever told the children that fun fairs can only be enjoyed at the height of summer? They love a spin on all the thrill-a-minute rides at any time, and giving them the chance to do so early in the year will mean that they're likely to have to spend less time queueing up to go on all their favourites whether it's for the first time, or the 21st.

Bringing younger children at this time of year is also better for them, because of course, they're also likely to be able to spend more time doing what they love best, including joining in with the fun at the live shows aimed especially for their enjoyment.

It might still be winter, but the weather statistics show that the British coastline is generally much less cold than further inland in any case during the February half-term week. So just as long as everyone comes prepared for it to be a little fresher, then the same fun time can be guaranteed. And of course, there's the big bonus that it will cost the family much less than exactly the same break during most of the other school holidays in the year.

Of course, all these activities are well supervised too, so the older members of the party can still enjoy a break from their charges. As some family resorts now boast state-of-the-art spa facilities, as well as excellent hotel accommodation, there's no need to skimp on making sure that there's room for a bit of pampering and luxury too.
