Learn about the underwater world at the Oceanarium, the second largest aquarium in the world. It was built in 1998 for the World Expo in Lisbon, and features aquatic ecosystems from the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian and even Antarctic Oceans. Marvel at the Belem Tower, a classic example of Portuguese late Gothic architecture. This impressive structure has a lot of stories to tell, as it used to be where Magellan and other explorers would get ready for expeditions to the New World.
