subject: Don't Continue To Line Up At The Store - Shop Online And Sit [print this page] I think it's fair to say that there are a lot of people, particularly women, who love to shop either alone or with friends.
It's fun to check out different products, pick them up, pass them around and invent stories about them. Spending time with your friends picking out a gift or something to add zest to one's home dcor is a bonding event for many. Shopping can be a relaxing, friendly experience.
Shopping can also be a horror to many people, including women. Whether shopping to you is a horror or a joy, I'm sure you will agree with me on one extremely important factor.
The Utter Frustration of Wasting Time Standing in Line
It seems as though no matter where you go, be it the supermarket or the department store, there are just not enough checkers. Waiting in line is boring and frustrating. It seems like it takes forever to get through the checkout lines and sometimes can put a damper on the day out shopping. Department stores and supermarkets rarely have enough checkers to satisfy the needs of all their customers. Standing in line for several minutes is irritating, and is frankly a waste of time.
Yes, in Kindergarten we learned to wait Our Turn, so What Now?
I don't know about you, but I can think of better things to do with my day then spending it standing in line. And if I really have nothing to do (like that ever happens) there are more entertaining things to do. Like sitting around watching paint dry. It's why I haven't packed up my kids and headed to Disney yet. The thought of standing in line for eight hours a day, which is (statistically) what your day's going to look like, is enough to give me a nervous tick. Right around the eye. Right there. Do you see it?
Since I refuse to be the person who barges into the post office and uses the fact that my kids are sitting in the car to barge in line, however, I know every time I go shopping I have to either get around my distaste of lines or get over it. And that, my friend, is why I love shopping on the web.
You already know how to bargain hunt in stores. You can translate this knowledge very easily to the web and save time in the doing. The really great news though is that money isn't the only thing you save shopping online and it may not even be the greatest part of your shopping expedition.
The greatest advantage to shopping online is the saving of your precious time and sanity. Online shopping gives you more time to spend with your family, with your work, with your fun. You may even make it to that zumba class at the gym. So, if you need something and can wait a couple of days for it, save yourself from traffic, parking woes, packing the kids into the car, and yes, standing in line by doing your shopping online.
Now you know the main reason why I shop on line. What's yours?
