subject: Should You Accept Free Pitbull Puppies? [print this page]

If someone offers you free pitbull puppies, should you take them? This is something that you may have to consider very suddenly, and you may need to make a decision without spending a lot of time in thought. A person who is giving their puppies away for free probably wants to get rid of all of them as quickly as they can. They will also have a good number of people who are interested in taking them. If you do not know how you feel about these puppies and cannot make a decision quickly, you could lose the chance to have one of these dogs without having to pay.

The first thing that many people think of when they see free pitbull puppies is these dogs have a reputation for being aggressive and mean. People are sometimes hesitant to take them because they do not want an angry, mean dog in their home. Would it be safe around the children? Would it be safe around guests? These are questions that they have to ask themselves, and with good reason. However, researching the dogs to make a decision can take too long if they have already been offered to you.

What you need to know is that free pitbull puppies are not a threat if they have been trained properly. They have a reputation for being mean because there are a lot of people who do not put in the time and energy to train the dogs. Their instincts and their energy are just too much for the dogs to overcome on their own, and the result is that they seem mean and aggressive. If trained, though, you will not run into these same problem.

As you can imagine, there is a huge advantage to getting the dogs when they are young. Finding free pitbull puppies is better than finding dogs that have already lived for two or three years. These older animals will already be a product of their training. There will be little that you can do to change this. You need to get puppies so that you can take care of them while they are small and helpless. You can train them before their personalities are fully formed. They will also get used to you, meaning that they will be more prone to trust you and listen to you.

Many times, pit bulls are talked about in negative terms. This is something that they really do not deserve. If you are ready and willing to work with the free pitbull puppies from a young age, you will find that they make the best pets. You will soon feel like the dog is a part of your family.
