subject: Bringing Them To Christ [print this page]

(Tammy Hartman) it's not enough(Tammy Hartman) it's not enough. Everybody needs to help. This is not right.

(Tom Brahms) I guess one of the things in life you end up consuming a lot and if life has been good to you, you provide your fruits for you own gain. Eventually you wake up and see that there are others in need and that's what's happened. My wife helped me to see the world a little bit differently than I had in the past. I used to give to universities and to operas and symphonies, and now I realize that there are other places that need those monies a lot more than those luxuries.

(Interviewer) is this hospital a luxury?

(Tom Brahms) Far from a luxury. As a matter of fact, it's providing care in austere environments but still doing what needs to be done for the individuals. Obviously, it's not being wasted on lavish quarters; it's being provided for the services that are needed and then to move on to the next because there are more people waiting for those services.

(Jennifer Clack) we've been to the hospital. I saw the hospice care and the HIV and some of that. I've haven't been to some of the other places yet but you can just see the impact on what Joyce does and what Dave does for the ministry and for the world. They just really are all about caring about people, bringing them to Christ. It's really just marvelous. To see these two people standing here getting ready to move in today to their new home, it is just such a terrific feeling. To think that I could maybe have some small impact with someone that is actually going to be able to... When I go to sleep at night, I can know that they're going to sleep at night in their own place. After what they've been through, it's really the least that I can do just to be part of the Joyce Meyer team and to be a partner and to meet all the wonderful people of India. They're just amazing, really amazing people.

(Shelby Lauderdale) I looked down and my hands were filthy. They were filthy. I was so hot and sunburned and a lot of the dust was getting in my eyes and I thought, "this is the best. This is so great. The Joyce Meyer Ministries people have built this village." it was amazing to see people come out of their new houses and come out of surrounding villages just to welcome us. We just had a chance to dedicate that whole town. How often do you get to do that?
