subject: Is Organic Toothpaste Safe? [print this page]

When it comes to cosmetic products, nothing beats those that were made from organic resources and processed naturally. In general, people nowadays tend to give more value to their healthy as proven in the growing demand for organic products all over the world. Although this merchandise may pose much higher price ranges than the conventional goods, people do not really care as long as they get the chemical-free stuffs.

Organic toothpastes are those made from everyday natural materials that you can find right at your kitchen. These can be salt, baking soda, hydrogen peroxide, and water. The best thing about these products is that they are not hazardous to the health of humans. In addition, these are also way more inexpensive as compared with the products we buy in the market.

Since its discovery in the early centuries, organic toothpaste using resources in the kitchen has been of no negative effects to the user. Even in large quantities, most people who have tried it were not at all concerned or worried with its possible side effects. Nowadays, people are finding simple recipes such as the use of baking soda in water as an easy-to-use toothpaste formula as very natural and effective. The solution has shown efficacy and success in getting rid of bacteria and germs that can cause bad breathe aside from the food collected on the teeth. Baking soda is also great for whitening purposes as it has natural properties to help brighten the color of the teeth. In fact, most of the people who had used it have sworn that you can have whiter teeth in just 14 days of daily use. You can even use it alone without mixing salt if you dont like the taste. Some people leave out salt in the ingredients due to health purposes aside from the bad flavor it gives to the whole solution. You can pour water on your toothbrush or put it in glass of water before dipping it in a sufficient amount of baking soda if you dont want to prepare too much. However, most people find preparing enough cuts the work although it is very easy to prepare.

The only known downside of organic toothpaste made from combining baking soda, water, and salt is the aftertaste. Some may find it intolerable especially those who are not familiar with using such natural stuff. However, those who are strictly into organic products tend to overcome the taste as the long term effect is more prioritized than the bad flavor. You can always use natural flavoring to hide the awful taste of the organic toothpaste if you want. Most of the users of such products gargle with a mouthwash after brushing their teeth to get rid of the offensive taste. Others consume sweets to eliminate the unpleasant flavor of baking soda and salt. In the end, no matter how natural a product may be manufactured, it still depends on the discipline and will of a person as most people fail in such simple issues like the awful taste of the toothpaste.
