subject: Motorbike Dealers See Increase Of Sales In Aberdeen [print this page]

At the recent annual MCN (Motorcycle News) Awards, BMW Motorrad were victorious, having the Manufacturer of the Year 2011 award bestowed upon them.

The prestigious awards consisted of a glittering dinner where the crme de la crme of the motorcycle industry rubbed shoulders with senior members of the MCN team. The awards are judged and presented by Motorcycle News, the UKs best-selling motorcycle publication. The aim of the awards is to recognise innovation, outstanding motorcycles and sales successes.

Speaking of BMW Motorrad, judges said: As one of a handful of firms to show real growth in a major downturn, BMW is obviously doing something right. Perhaps its the way the firm continues to innovate and advance motorcycling itself by setting new standards of technology and design.

But celebrations id not stop there, as BMW Motorrad also picked up the awards of Tourer of the Year, for the K 1600 GT and Best Sportsbike over 601cc for the S 1000 RR.

The BMW K 160 GT is lightweight with super sharp handling, and as MCN described: the engine is silken and string, the range is good and comfort is exceptional. It looks good, with loads of presence, and comes with every electronic aid you could wish for, many as standard.

Of the S 1000 RR judges said: Others have tried to meet the S 1000 RRs standards but theyve only closed in without nudging ahead. The engine is epic and the overall performance unbeatable.

This summer, we had a mini heatwave and motorbike dealers saw an increase in the number of new riders purchasing their first motorbike since obtaining their license. It is unfortunate for them that the hot summer weather didnt last long and Autumn appeared too quickly and now they are reverting back to four wheels for the winter months.

BMW motorbike dealers Aberdeen have since seen increased interest in the prize-winning bikes. With motorcycles using a lot less fuel than cars and the current economic situation, it is no surprise that many are looking to trade in four wheels for two. You can contact your local BMW Motorrad dealer for the full list of benefits.
