HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio
On September 14, 2011, HTC released the Extreme Edition (XE) of the HTC Sensation in Europe under the name HTC Sensation XE with Beats Audio.The Sensation XE provides the following performance improvements: Dual core processor clocked at 1.5 GHz (up from 1.2GHz on the stock Sensation), a 1730 mAh battery, and Android 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) OS with HTC Sense 3.5. The Sensation XE features Beats Audio support, and can be easily recognized from its red speaker, buttons, and rear camera, and the Beats logo. Located inside the box is also YourBeats earphones, a renamed and redesigned iBeats headphone.While the HTC Sensation is often compared to the Samsung Galaxy S II, one of the competitors of the HTC Sensation XE is the Samsung Galaxy S II LTE.
HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio
On October 6, 2011, another special edition has been released with Beats Audio, called HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio (XL stands for extralarge). This version features a 1.5 GHz single-core processor""different from the original Sensation and Sensation XE, and has slightly different specifications, including a larger screen (4.7") although the resolution has been reduced.Two editions of the HTC Sensation XL are released, the only difference in which the limited edition is shipped with Beats Solo HD's while the normal edition is shipped with the in-ear earphones of those on the Sensation XE.
