Mercury Retrograde Periods 2004 April 6-April 30, August 9-September 2, November 30-December 20
Miscommunications, machinery malfunctions, delays in communications and misunderstandings are the main challenges on a Mercury Retrograde. Take advantage of these moments for re-doing, re-learning, re-modifying, re-reading. The mind is very open to information that is repeated. Actions that are re-asserted pay off. In many cases, it has been brought to my attention that individuals re-testing for a drivers license pass testing. Cars and tests are ruled by Mercury.
Traveling on a Mercury retrograde can be a hassle. It is common for luggage to get lost. However, ironically, lost items from previous retrogrades unexpectedly reappear.
Above all, never sign a contract on a retrograde Mercury. Chances are something will not be mentioned in the contract. Also, the contract may not satisfactory or honored.

Venus Retrograde May 17-June 29 2004 Reprinted from the October 2002 newsletter
This Venus retrograde will have the similar connotations as the Venus Retrograde of June 1996. This year it will station retrograde at 26 Gemini on May 17th. Whereas the Venus Retrograde of June 1996 stationed retrograde at 25 Gemini. According to one of my clients working on a film production, many artistic differences occurred. Worse, the production company cancelled the production after two grueling weeks. Artistic aesthetics undergone on a Venus Retrograde become dissatisfactory. Also, technically speaking, this can also be considered the formation of an important event or formation of a business. It is highly recommended to postpone any major event whereby you can control the time to initiate action. Often, adjustments will take place after the retrograde. These adjustments may not be visible on the retrograde.
Since Venus is the planet of love, reflecting and revising the loving principal is important. Affection is stagnant and inwardly expressed. This is not a time to start dating or get married. If you are paying for an expensive matchmaking or dating service, this would be an ideal time to freeze your membership. However, it is an excellent time to review and refresh a current relationship.
Since Venus rules money, logically revenue is earned through work. During the Venus Retrograde of October through November 2002, a building manager was hired to manage a building in exchange for a free apartment. This manager not only embarked a new job, but also a new residence. She detested the job and hated her living conditions. She quit before Venus turned direct. In less than 6 weeks, she moved twice. I wonder about the 3rd place she moved too immediately thereafter. It is recommended place on hold any major actions, decisions or embarking any new ventures on this retrograde.
From a work standpoint, NEVER EVER START A NEW JOB WHATSOEVER ON A VENUS RETROGRADE!
From the Employees perspective:
* The job will not be liked.
* Someone at the job will not be liked.
* A better job become available after the retrograde.
* The level of appreciation is unexpressed.
* A duty the job duties may not be liked. Worse, they may not have been stated directly from the beginning.
From the Employers perspective:
* On Venus Retrograde of 2/2001 a Theatre department at a certain College had difficulties trying to find a new professor. After interviewing over 40 professors with PH. D's and MFAS, 5 candidates were brought back to "guest teach." NO ONE WAS HIRED. The department chair did not like the artistic tastes or workmanship!
Also, during that semester a new chairman was appointed for the fall season. The offer was accepted on a Venus Retrograde. This new chair is inward and described as not personable by most of the student body. Ironically, he was born with a Venus Retrograde!
Since Venus rules beauty, Plastic surgery is not recommended. During the Venus Retrograde of January 1989 a client underwent Rhinoplasty (Nose Job). Though she did like her doctor, she did not like the results. She had her nose redone. Also, another client, a nurse, assisted in the operating room when a certain male singer underwent Rhinoplasty and 2 other procedures. This performer is notorious for having too much plastic surgery to the point of overboard. Upon checking the date, it too landed on a Venus retrograde. If I could only get my hands on all the surgery's! However, it certainly justify why this person has and probably will always go under the knife multiple times. .
Venus' pleasure principal is not at its fullest. Social events are complete "busts" on a retrograde. Never plan a major party because either no one shows or the party is boring! Worse, vacations are not recommended. During Venus retrograde April 1912 a cruise was not enjoyable. TITANIC SANK! Granted there were difficult aspects from Venus retrograde to Neptune (the sea.) But for those that opted a vacation, did not fine pleasure or get their monies worth. Interestingly, the film was released 3 weeks before Venus went retrograde. The film was about a Venus Retrograde event that made the film even more popular on a Venus Retrograde during late December 1997 through early January 1998. At some point do not be surprised if its re-released.
On a positive note, please remember it is recommended the above is used to improve better times to assert actions. Nothing is a catastrophe. Save your money and time. Do not make any major decisions or invest time in trying to tackle a major event that you can put until the time is better. However, do use this period to analyzing your patterns in life. It is a great way to grow as a person. Growth does lead to better attainment!
Saturn Quincunx Pluto July 19-August 9
Every time these 2 energies occur, a bombings takes place. Also, stock market challenges occur. Of course this doesn't have to be fatalistic, it could simply be minor event. However, the nature of a Saturn quincunx is an adjustment to a delay in planning and obtaining concrete structured results. Often there is a need to redo and exhaust all possibilities before results actually work. This is not the time to start a new business. However, it is the time to make changes to an old existing business.
Jupiter Square Pluto August 1- August 12
Challenges with trust and power plays. Jupiter will expand the nature of any planet. In the case of Pluto, power plays, issues beyond ones control, and manipulations will occur. This can be a very fortune time for a person with these 2 planets sitting on an angle. Elimination and ridding old patters is crucial to give way for transformation.
The most practical business advice applicable for everyone is to take advantage of the above information by expending your efforts in the first, 2nd and 4th quarter of 2004. Try to lay low on the 3rd quarter of 2004, June-September.
