The Google Sandbox Explained
The Google Sandbox Explained

For those who have spent any time at all trying to have your domain to rank, then you have probably come across the term "The Google Sandbox". It sounds like a great place to be doesnt it? A sandbox is fun and relaxing, at least it was when I was a kid, but is that what the Google sandbox is? Well actually it is just that, a spot for your website to "chill". How would you know when YOUR web site or blog site is chilling inside the Google sandbox?

What IS The Google Sandbox Anyway?

Sandboxing, sandbox effect or the Google sandbox, these are terms that search engines use that mean that your domain is placed into a "time out" status. The topic of the Google sandbox is actually debated and there doesnt seem to be any genuine evidence that it exists. Those people that are discussing this think that this is a holding place for new domains and domains with competitive keywords. I can understand having the Google sandbox for a new domain, but I dont understand why someones domain would be put on hold for using popular keywords. There are legitimate problems that Google is concerned about with regard to keywords...and that concern is spam. You really gotta hand it to Google, they really do care about making the search experience pleasant.

The Google Sandbox Effect May Be About Linking

Some analysis has been done and it was proposed back in 2004 that those internet sites with top quality content did not experience the sandbox effect, while other websites who use heavily link-based content had difficulty getting listed in Google. This made a strong case for many website owners for believing that indeed there was a Google sandbox. Affiliate marketing websites would be a primary illustration of the type of internet site that would have been penalized.

Another Stumbling Block Of The Google Sandbox Theory

Every newcomer to the online community will experience a long wait to have their internet site or blog indexed. It Might require nearly 14 weeks for Google to list that new web site, but will it get listed at all? A great number of web site or blog site owners have don't have a clear understanding of what Google looks for when the bots go out to index sites. One of the biggest elements is the CONTENT itself. First off, it seems a bit unfair for Google to make you wait to have your site listed, but in all fairness, they are waiting to see if your internet site or blog is relevant. You might not be aware, but you probably won't be surprised to learn that there are many "blackhats" out there trying to put one over on Google. The quarantine process of the Google sandbox is there as a safeguard in making the internet a good place for YOU as the surfer. Finally, be mindful to study everything you need to do so as to make your internet site or weblog Google friendly so you dont spend too much time inside the so-called Google sandbox.

To your success,
