subject: The Message That Shoes Convey [print this page]

How you ever stopped long enough to think about what your shoes say about you? Believe it or not your shoes convey a message to everyone that surrounds you. So what is that message? Maybe in the past you've noticed someone's and later on realized that their shoes are a reflection of their personality. Not only do shoes reflect your personality but what kind of person you are.

Throughout my life I have met people with peculiar tastes in styles. Each one of them has different preference but each one has a unique look about them that only they can pull off. I've met guys with crazy bright colored plaid tennis shoes that are "popular". If I were to put them on and strut around people would laugh and ask what I'm doing. So what is the difference? I believe that you are drawn to certain things that are in essence you, but in a different form. You might be out shopping and you feel that a certain pair of shoes is just calling your name. This is where it gets fund because you can truly tell a lot about a person by what they are wearing on their feet.

Shoes are very popular among Men and Women. I know guys that have more shoes then there girlfriend. I think it's safe to say that the style of shoes you wear on a particular day shows the mood that you are in, the way you feel and the emotion that's going through your body. Whether you are wearing a pair of shoes by Special Occasions or a pair of Women's Sport Sandals you are saying something about yourself.

You can tell what kind of back ground someone has by what they wear. Throughout high school I would see kids wear the same pair of boots to school day in and day out. This tells me that they come from some sort of agricultural back ground and don't care about what people think. I've noticed some people, including guys, wear a different pair of shoes every day to match their outfit. This shows that they might be high maintenance, that they come from a world where fashion is embraced and encouraged. Even the brands of shoes tell you something about the person. Some people refuse to wear generic clothing bought from Wal-mart. While others will find cute affordable clothing that serves the same purpose.

I'm not saying that one way or the other is correct, they can both be the right way. It's just important to find what works for you and makes you feel good. But keep in mind that other people notice what you wear and maybe next time you go to put on a pair of shoes you will understand the message that you are sending out on that particular day.
