Our suppliers take incredible care with the food they produce even to the point of instructing me how to lay it gently on the shelves so it doesnt bruise! exclaimed co-owner Jan Singbeil.

The late-summer timing of The Market Meafords move couldnt be better because local seasonal produce is abundant. We have fresh corn, herbs, apples, peaches, plums, blackberries, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, garlic, lettuce, heirloom salad peppers, jalapeo and banana peppers.

Your One Stop Healthy Shop

Although our focus is on local produce, The Market Meaford is an ideal one stop healthy shop for many fine food products. Whether planning a nutritious meal, getting your weeks groceries or stocking up on staples, the market has something for everyone.

Dairy products include fabulous goat and sheep cheese, goat milk, goat and sheep yogurt, and organic milk, ice cream, butter, cottage cheese and yogurt.

The market also carries fresh bread and eggs, as well as fresh fish, beef, pork, chicken. Those with a taste for something different can find elk and bison meat. There are beautiful prepared meals and lots of excellent local jams, honey, maple syrup, pickles, chutneys, salsa, pasta sauce, pasta.

We also carry a wide variety of flours, beans, rice, quinoa, cereals, baking supplies, tea, coffee (locally roasted), sauces and many day-to-day pantry/grocery items.

We are always looking for ideas of additional product to carry and our offerings will increase as we move forward. Our customers are great at giving us leads to healthy local foods they have discovered, so if you have any leads please let us know.
