Manicures are the perfect service to not only take some time out to pamper yourself for a bit, but also to look and feel your best. One important attribute that people have is their nails, and it is important to keep them neat and clean. Manicures typically include cleaning your nails, trimming and shaping them, and putting nail polish on them. There are other types of manicures available that offer a variety of different services, but these are the basics that are included each time you get a manicure. One of the more luxury types of manicures is a hot oil manicure.

Hot oil manicures are also known as warm oil manicures. These nail treatments tend to be rather expensive when compared to the other types of nail treatments. This is because this is a more elegant nail treatment and works well on nails that are rigid and brittle. There are many different types of oils that can be used for a hot oil manicure such as olive oil, sunflower oil, sesame oil, and mineral oil.

The way hot oil manicures are done is close to the procedure for a basic manicure. First the client's nails are cleaned suing a scrub brush. Then the nails are trimmed and filed. At this point, instead of having the fingertips soak in warm soapy water, they are put to soak in a container of heated oil. The oil replaces the need to utilize not only the soapy water, but also the lotions and creams that are typically used for a basic manicure. After the fingertips have been soaked in the heated oil, the manicurist massages the oil into the nails, palms, and wrists. Then the manicurist removes the oil completely by rinsing the hands and wrists, as well as wiping them off with a damp towel. Once the oil has been completely removed, the manicurist will go on to paint and polish the fingernails.

Hot oil manicures are marvelous for treating dry, brittle nails as well as dry skin and cuticles that may be around the nails. These kinds of treatments are especially good for men and women who have a job where they work with their hands a lot. A regular hot oil manicure will keep your hands and nails looking healthy and moisturized. Though the hot oil manicures are slightly more expensive than most all of the other ones, they are definitely worth the added cost to receive the added benefits.
