Glue aluminum foil on all interior sides of the smaller box, and all the flaps of the larger box. Lastly, place a piece of glass, plexiglass or even plastic just inside the larger box so as to cover the smaller box and the insulated sides, but not to inhibit the flaps of the bigger box.
It is neither expensive nor particularly difficult to make a cardboard solar oven, but it can actually be a lot of fun and provide you benefits.
