I don't even know how this topic has become one of the biggest topics and decisions that couples arehaving when it comes to their wedding!!! Stop wasting your time trying to illegally download your favoritesongs, reading about iPod weddings and putting together the "perfect" playlists on your iPod.

Here are just a few things to think about when considering using an iPod on for your wedding:

How are you going to amplify it? You will need to rent a sound system, pick it up, set it up, tear itdown and return it...

Do you really want to be lugging speakers around, setting up the sound system, making sure youhave the right playlist playing while in your dress on your special day?

Do you have high quality MP3 files? Low quality downloads and ripped music will have varyingsound levels and quality which is more apparent in larger sound systems.

Does your iPod have personality?

Can your iPod read a crowd and tell when it is time to switch up the song or play a slow song?

Can your iPod beat-mix and provide a seamless flow of music or are you just going to let that 15seconds of silence at the end of your downloaded Michael Jackson MP3 play before the next songcomes on?

Who is going to get up and turn the music down when it is time for speeches or change the playlists?

What happens if someone forgets the power adaptor or the iPod dies?

A professional DJ will provide you with a quality sound system, all the music you and your guests want(even those rare, ethnic and indie songs you want with advance notice), an MC as needed, ability toread the crowd, judge when to play a slow song, provide an even flow the music, organize the bridalintroductions, centerpiece give-a-way, special dances, bouquet toss, garter removal, etc.

Would you take your own photographs, cater the food, setup the linens and decor at your wedding aswell? Your guests will remember their experience as either good or bad. The two main factors in yourguests experience are #1 the music and #2 the food. For your memories you should also hire a professionalphotographer to capture your special day. I understand where people are coming from whenthey don't want that "Cheesy DJ"... the simple solution is do your research and hire the right DJ, Bandor DJ / Band combination for your wedding day! There are many options out there, some of which arereally good and some of which are really bad, it's not worth it to try and do it yourself, it is worth it todo your research, shop around and hire entertainment that suits you and your guests.

Is it really worth the minimal savings?
