Take some plastic beads, a beading loom, an iron, a flat surface on which you can iron and an ironing paper so that the beads do not stick on the flat surface or iron. The plastic beads used here are special ones that melt and stick to the surrounding ones. When the beads are kept in desired shapes and ironed, they stick to each other and form an art that looks beautiful.
Melting Plastic Beads through Oven
There is yet another way of melting these beads to make interesting art projects- with the help of oven. For this, you will need oven, oven mitts, plastic beads, aluminum foil, cookie sheet, disposable tart pans, knitting needle or wire. Preheat the oven to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. Take aluminum foil and with it line the disposable tart pan. Keep the beads inside it in patterns you want or just in random order. Now, place the tart pan onto a cookie sheet. Place it in the oven and bake for about ten minutes. Check, if the beads have melted. If not then heat further till they are completely melted. When melted, they will be transformed into a multi colored disk. You can mold it into your desired shape or size or can make a hole and thread it to hang on wall.
Make Eco Friendly Plastic Beads
One of the very interesting plastic bead crafts can be to make them on your own! For this you will need some used colored plastic grocery bag, glue, painting brush, tin straws, ribbons and scissors. You have to cut the used bag in the shape of a triangle. This triangle can be about three to four inches long. Glue the inside of the triangle and place the straw at the broader end. Now wrap it around the straw. With the help of the brush, apply a coat of craft glue over the bead. Avoid coating the holes at both the ends. Now allow it to dry for at least twelve hours. When dry, cut the excessive straw off.
