This 2-mile man-made lake near ASU offers recreational activities such as sightseeing, biking, boating/rowing, cultural events, among others. On the construction stage are new office buildings and high-rise housing developments, which, pretty much presents a balance in urban living work and play.

The Mill Avenue District is the citys cultural mecca. From dining, cultural festivals, special events, shopping, active nightlife, sporting events, to family bonding, no wonder this is considered the place to beat in Tempe. Living here is described to be eclectic and energetic as it is strategically positioned around these amenities. A uniquely pedestrian-friendly downtown area, the district boasts of over 100 restaurants, boutiques, nightlife spots, and movie theaters which are very much near Tempe Town Lake, the Sun Devil Stadium and the ASU Gammage Auditorium.

And of course, another great performance venue in this city is the Tempe Center for the Arts. It houses a state-of-the-art 600-seat proscenium theater, 3,500-square foot gallery, and a 200-seat theater. It is not only suited for cultural events and/or performances, but memorable family and company gatherings can also be held here, such as wedding receptions, banquets, team meetings, business presentations, among others.
