But why is English the universal language? During the past century the United States led the world economy and the dollar was strong. As many companies in the US realized that labor was much less expensive in some foreign countries they moved their labor operations to those countries. For these other companies to communicate with their new customers they had to learn English.
Again, why do we need to learn English?
Now people know that if they cant speak English they simply can not get a job at one of these companies. The people who have worked at these companies for years also realize that if they dont learn English that they may be replaced by someone who can? Simply put, if you want to make the sale you have to speak with your customer.
However there is good news. When you leave work, away from the hustle and bustle of the business world, you can still go home and relax with your family and forget about English for a short time.
