Apart from aforementioned awards given to this state by the Government of India, Kerala has also won many other awards from various organizations. It has won award for the Best Tourism Board in the year 2003 and 2006 by Galileo Express Travel & Tourism. It has also won the awards for the best marketing and the best use of IT in tourism in the year 2003 by Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry. It has also received honor of the best state that promoted travel & tourism in the year 2000 - 2001. In the year 2005, the state has been nominated as one tree finalists at the World Travel & Tourism Councils Tourism for Tomorrow awards in the distinct category.

According to National Geographics Traveler magazine, Kerala is one of the top ten paradises on the earth and one of 50 must see destinations of a lifetime. According to Travel + Leisure magazine, it is the one the hundred great trips for the 21st century. According to a survey conducted by the Economic Times, five out of the ten best cities to live in India are situated in Kerala. One another survey conducted in the year 2005 by Transparency International ranked Kerala as the least corrupt state in India.
