subject: Natural Skincare Products And Techniques [print this page] If you have ever read any of the articles that I have written on natural skincare and health you know how much I believe in the use of all natural products. I cant overemphasize the uses and benefits of natural products. If you dont know how to navigate through the huge amount of materials and products out there you can get confused, but trust me natural ingredients are the best. Natural products nourish the skin while they assist in the healing process so you get multiple benefits from using them. Cosmetic products only mask symptoms but natural products actually heal the skin.
There are many natural products which are beneficial to the skin and we will name a few here. For each natural product that we mention here there are two more that give the same benefits. Since so many of them overlap, dont think that a product isnt good for a specific condition just because we dont mention it here.
Shea butter comes from the nut of a tree native to Africa. In Africa and Europe, it is recognized for its medicinal value. In the US, it is not considered a treatment for any condition.
Researchers from all over the world have shown that creams containing the highest pharmaceutical grades of Shea butter are beneficial for acne, eczema and psoriasis. They have anti-aging properties and are the most effective moisturizers, because they are most similar to the oils produced by human sebaceous glands. Now I first recommend pure shea butter. Whenever it has been added as an additional ingredient remember that its effects are diluted. The lotions and creams that are added to shea butter dont do a thing to enhance its natura properties. They only serve to stretch the main ingredient.
Essential oils, on the other hand, are concentrated plant oils, so are carrier oils. These oils can work wonders when used for natural health and should not be overlooked. Aloe vera oil, vitamin E oil, and tea tree oil also give excellent skin care benefits and are worthy of mention here. No medicine chest is complete without them.
Vitamin D is recognized as one of the anti-cancer antioxidants so vitamin D oil is excellent skin care oil. The best time to use it is before you plan to be exposed to the sun for a prolonged period of time. It need not be present in the diet, because your body produces it when exposed to sunlight, but when you apply it to the skin the skin cells benefit immediately from its anti oxidizing and anti ageing capabilities.
Aloe vera oil is another natural product which is excellent when used in this regard. I keep some aloe plants on hand and periodically take their leaves and chop them into small pieces. I then add vitamin e oil to this mixture and allow it to age by placing it in a warm dark place. The oil leeches the vital ingredients out of the aloe vera leaves over time. I will occasionally pick this mixture up and shake it thoroughly for a few minutes.
I use this mixture on my face and head when I shave because my skin is ultra sensitive. One application of this mixture soothes razor burn and helps my face and scalp to heal quickly and efficiently from the assault of the razor. I generally only have to apply this mixture to my face once which does the trick. Once you have learned more about the uses of these natural products you can create your own blend for whatever your skin care needs happen to be. Try them and you may be pleasantly surprised by the way that they are beneficial to your skin care regimen.Fragrance Oil Express
