-Kerala cuisine is as famous as its tourism. A variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes, which will satisfy your taste buds are available, through various hotels, road-side shops etc. Most of the hotels have other cuisines like Continental, Chinese, Arab and Indian etc in their menu.

-Some temples in Kerala have strict rules which people are expected to follow. Entry is restricted to non-Hindus in some of them and there are dress codes in yet some.

-In public places, you are not allowed to smoke.

-There are some restricted places like some of the wildlife sanctuaries for which you need to get special permission to visit.

-Most of the people know English in this highly literate state.
