Astronauts Doug Hawney and Abe Finks said last night, before their descent back into Earths atmosphere, that the whole world would be amazed at what has been found buried deep in the dust on the moons surface. Through crackling interference we thought we heard the words bridal jewellery but this morning a spokesperson for the Cape Canaveral station told waiting reporters that we will have to wait at least 48 hours before the astronauts can be debriefed by officials.

A delay in hearing from the brave scientists was expected as their capsule is believed to have hit some space debris on re-entry. Doug and Abe may have incurred slight injuries in the collision.

Rumours are rife to the astronauts condition and all spokes persons for the station are tight lipped about the whole exercise. What the astronauts found is still a mystery and imaginative suggestions for why it is being kept such a secret are growing in proportion to the stubborn silence of officials. What did Doug mean by Bridal jewellery?

The New York Times and The Guardian newspapers have both released stories based on a note read by Freelance Journalist Mike Hardy. The note said Jewellery found in Abes hand Confirmation has not been had on either of these facts. The bridal jewellery rumour is still growing.

The mission director at Cape Canaveral has spoken out against the madman who had started this ridiculous rumour but stated that Abe Finks, Doug Hawney , Rachel Monks, Fred Fairbrothe, and Lacey Hawks were all deceased, the last three were alive on landing but were too seriously injured to survive.

Tuesday December 16th 2025

A woman calling herself Lucy Hawks has been in touch with The Guardian newspaper to offer the true story of what is known as the Bridal Jewellery mission.

Guardian Wednesday December 17th 2025

Lucy Hawks is on the run. She claims to have been held prisoner by US security forces since the landing in 2016. Ms Hawks stated that though herself, Rachel and Fred had survived the landing, Abe and Doug had not as they were in the immediate area that was damaged on collision. Ms Hawks was the only long term survivor.

As for the moon mission she explained that while they were taking more samples from the deep rock dust, Abe knocked off what seemed to be a chip of wood so we all carefully excavated in the same area until we had uncovered a small, decorated box deeply engrained with moondust. Can you imagine finding any made thing in that deserted dustbowl? No human could have left it. No astronaut could have taken the weight or hidden it in their suits. We were looking at something left by something or someone unknown.

As if that wasnt enough, the contents were even more amazing. We decided to take it back to the capsule. It could have contained anything and we were risking everything by just taking it on board but there was no procedure for this sort of thing. No one had expected us to find anything but rock.

When at last we had it contained we opened it robotically and crowded around. Inside there was jewellery of some kind, all white, maybe diamonds and pearls, whatever, it was fantastic. Then Abe suggested it might be bridal jewellery and we all stood silently, trying to imagine this planet being the chosen destination of a wedding party but if so, where from?
