Compared to Sarah's description/complaints, I had an eerily similar experience. Small room, rags for towels, nasty bedding, and a bathroom that needed remodeled - with a decent shower head on the long list of needed upgrades. On the positive side, the wifi was okay, the front desk guy was nice (looked a bit too much like Tom Bodett), and the ice machine kept on churning out ice so that I could chill the whiskey which I drank to forget that I was stuck in a crap hole. As an aside, I believe that this was the better of the 4 motels in the immediate area, which explains the title of my review.
We are finishing up an eight day road trip and stayed at six different motel/suites, including two nights at a resort facility. This is by far the newest, cleanest and most reasonable priced place we stayed. Our first time ever at a Motel 6. We based our decision to stay here on these actual reviews. An added bonus is the place is locally owned and operated, and the owner actually checked us in.
First time staying in a Motel 6 anywhere. A very good experience. Staff was friendly & courteous, room clean, & they take pets. Not many motels take pets anymore (I understand why too) & I have had some bad experiences, never mind the price. A no frills motel, free coffee, internet & a pool (who needs everything for 1 nite). I will definitely stay here again. Hope it is as good the next time thru & not just a fluke.
