subject: Do You Even Know What Wears You Out? Psychic Elizabeth Questions [print this page]

How many times have you said to yourself, This just wears me out.? Do you even know what wears you out? Do you have tools that you reach for when you realize you are worn out? I personally am a napper. When I find myself worn out, I take a nap. I havent always done that. I had to learn how to do that. What are your tools that you use?

Todays Daily Quote is from Anton Chekhov, the great Russian short-story writers. He is considered to be one of the greatest short-story writers in the history of the world of literature. He said:

Any idiot can face a crisis - its day to day living that wears you out.

You do not have to accept anything or live in any kind of situation that wears you out. We often accept things, stay in things or allow things because of some false sense of responsibly or guilt. Day to day living wears us out, as Anton Chekhov reminds us. When we have a crisis, most of us go into crisis mode. We find some inner strength and deal with what comes at us. We do not realize how truly exhausted all the way to our souls we get sometimes from our day to day routines.

Our homework for today is to look at our lives. How do you feel right now? Do you feel inspired, empowered and full of energy? Are you tired, low energy and could use a nap? Take a look at how you feel later on in the day. Pay attention to your inner dialogue. Hear yourself when you say or think, Wow, this thing or person just wears me out!!. You are the only one who can take care of yourself and your soul. If you are expecting some other person or thing to take care of your soul or being, you will be disappointed over and over again. You are the only one who truly knows what wears you out. You are the only one who knows when you are near the end of your rope. I am the only one who knows when I need to lay down and take a good nap. I cannot expect someone else to make me less tired or to remove my stress. Thats my job. Be kind to yourself today. Pay attention to how youre feeling. Pay attention to what you really need. I know so many of us ignore our inner needs because of responsibilities or other people. Use your words today. If someone or something wears you out, speak up. Ask for a moment. Ask for a break. Ask for some time. Ask for whatever you need. Just try it. Its not that hard once you do it a few times. I give you permission!
