subject: Things You Wish Someone Told You About Article Marketing [print this page]

As a business owner just getting started, you may have been excited to get started with a new article marketing campaign. You sat down and the words just came flying out on the computer and the articles seemed to write themselves. Just a few short weeks later, though, things were different. The words were not coming so easy and you weren't really noticing a difference in traffic on your site at all. The following are some of the things that you wish someone had told you about this particular strategy:

Article marketing takes time. You are not going to see your traffic increase immediately. A lot of people get so discouraged because they are not seeing the results as quick as they would like. If you are just starting out, you need to know that it can take a month or more to build up your web presence enough to see a difference in traffic generation.

With the time involved, you have to be extremely committed to this task. For you to generate traffic with this strategy, three to five articles a day will have to be both written and published. Unless you can commit to this, you should not even bother to try it.

What a lot of marketers wish they had known from the beginning is that they do not have to write the actual articles themselves. Some of the best marketers invest in a web content writer to do the writing for them. This allows them to concentrate on other promotional tasks.

You also need to know that there are promotional companies available that will do it all for you. Not only will they get the articles written for you, they will have them published in the directories. As that task can take a lot of time, as well, it makes sense to hire someone else to do it.

One of the more common problems with this strategy is coming up with different topics for your articles to be published. The best way to handle this challenge is to look at the feedback and questions you are getting from the public. This strategy should be your solution for getting this information out to your target market.

Article marketing is something that can change the future of your business. While it may take a little time to build up your web presence with this strategy, you can make it work by simply committing to the tasks at hand and making sure that every single article you publish is written for your customers.
