A few Reasons to own Silver!
I believe that Silver will be the investment star of the next decade and throughout the 21st Century! One reason I expect Silver to outperform all others is its rarity. Not only is there less above ground silver bullion in the world than gold, this fact is still unknown to the majority of the worlds investors. Even though silver has outperformed everything for the past ten years, considering how little of it exists, its valuation is still tiny.
There is roughly 1.0 billion ounces of silver bullion and about 3.3 billion ounces of gold in the world above ground. That means that approximately $ 30 billion worth of silver is in existence, but almost $ 5.28 trillion of gold bullion above ground using $30 silver and $1,600 gold as of September 28, 2011. That means there is 176 times more gold than silver in the world in US dollar terms. Silver will outperform gold in the coming decade and perhaps the rest of the 21st century as people come to understand its rarity in addition to the fact that it is consumed and not just produced and stored like Gold.
In addition, according to some circles, the remaining silver in the earths crust is running out since most of the silver is found closer to the surface and with reduction in production and reserves as mining companies dig deeper. When the silver price explodes above $50, the price will never come back down in our lifetimes. I fully expect that silver at some point will match and then exceed the price of gold. It has the potential to rise in price until it exceeds the gold price by 176 times. At todays price of gold that correlates to $281,600 per ounce! While the potential of silver to exceed the gold price is great, it will take time. My objective during my lifetime is that silver will match the gold price. In my childrens and grandchildrens lifetimes the price of silver may exceed the gold price by many times. I expect that my descendants will reap the real rewards. Accordingly, I have put enough $ into silver coins for them to reap the benefits.
I hope my customers do as well. I have vast inventories available; buying when nobody wants the stuff (like this past week). Inventories world-wide are being depleted fast. My sources have been cleaned out the past week while the paper silver market was tumbling due to downside manipulation of the banks that are short. This will not last.
