Learning foreign language takes a whole lot of effort' a very famous saying says. Those learning foreign languages on a high school or other level may agree with the statement. Learning any foreign language involves a whole lot of time and effort. Mainly it is due to unusual structure of a language that differs much from the person's original language.

The following list embodies the features a person should possess if he/she is occupied with studying a foreign language in high school or college:

Ethnicity and native origin. The simplest way to master a language a person has never spoken before is to live close to the country that speaks this very language as their mother-tongue. People living on the border between U.S. and Mexico speak both Spanish and English language as perfectly as a person can.

Reference to one's own geographical origin. Pretty often countries go on war with one another. This causes lands to be conquered and invasions to be made. Different properties become others' from what they used to be even temporary (e.g. German's invasion to USSR during World War II)

Business trips and visits to other countries contribute pretty much to a person's interest in learning another language. So working for a company or a firm a person may consider this possibility if he/she is willing to learn another language different in structure and origin from his/her own.

And finally a person may simply select teaching a foreign language on a high school or college basis after they have finished its main course of study. In this case a person must work hard and take into account that due to the lack of native speakers around he/she is has to watch various programs and listen to the radio in order to be able to master the language properly.
